William Rehnquist

William Rehnquist is the chief justice of the Supreme Court.  He has been in the Supreme Court since 1972, when he was nominated by Richard Nixon.  He was nominated to be the Chief Justice by Ronald Reagan in 1986.  He is a Republican in the federal level of the judicial branch.
